Hatha is general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of Asanas (Yoga Postures) and Pranayama (yoga breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as Meditation.

Today, the term, hatha is used in such a broad way that it is difficult to know what a particular hatha yoga class will be like. In most cases, however it will be relatively gentle, slow and great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold poses longer.

Iyengar Yoga

B.K.S. Iyengar, is the founder of the style ofvyoga known as "Itengar Yoga" and was considered one of the foremost yoga teachers in the world. Iyengar was obe of the earliest students of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, who is often referred to as "the father of modern yoga". Krishnamacharya in the early 1900's by his Guru Rama Mohan Brahmachari, and was later passed down to PattabhiJois during the duration if his studies with Krishnamacharya, beginning in 1927.

The core muscles are the deep, internal muscles of the abdomen and back. When the core muscles are strong and healthy, they work in tandem with the superficial muscles of the trunk to support the spine through a wide range of movement.

Flow yoga classes are not fixed with fixed with postures but teacher is free to compose series of postures which connects from one postures to another with breathing synchronisation which suits for the group of students.
